Do you buy some over-the-counter cream, spray or lotion – or perhaps get a prescription for some more powerful anti-inflammatory gel medication? You may get some temporary relief from your symptoms with little or no downside – (certainly less risk of side effects than with oral medications) But, here's why, although you can reasonably expect a cream or salve to help protect your skin as it heals from a cut or abrasion...
